Needs

Shoprite aimed to rapidly scale its customer loyalty program (targeting 5 million customers) and enhance personalized promotions. This required a robust SAP C4/HANA landscape on AWS/GCP, integrated with SAP PMR (Bonus Buy) and OPP, advanced BI with Dunnhumby, and omnichannel marketing capabilities.

Solution

An SAP-centric solution on a hybrid cloud (AWS/GCP) was implemented.

  • Data Solution: SAP C4C and S/4HANA on AWS Cloud and Google Cloud Bigdata for BI and BW. Akamai CIAM (JanRain/Gigya) for customer identity. Money Market on SAP Billing. Dunnhumby integration for customer behavior analytics.

  • Integration Solution: SAP Commerce (Bonus Buy) on AWS/GCP integrated with SAP C4C, Retail, CAR (PMR, OPP, AMR), and POS. Integration with WhatsApp (Click@Tell), Exact Target, SurveyMonkey, SAP Interconnect (Email/SMS), and Google Analytics/Firebase. SAP CPI used for integrations.

  • Data Science Solution: Leveraged Dunnhumby for customer segmentation and personalized promotion offers (Bonus Buy) using advanced statistical algorithms. Google Cloud Bigdata used for BI, ML, and deep learning for customer analytics.
