Solution

Global Payments partnered with technology experts to design and implement an innovative infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), focusing on:

• Cloud-Native Architecture:
  Built a modern, microservices-based architecture on GCP, leveraging Kubernetes for orchestration and scalability.

• Advanced Data Platform:
  Deployed Google Cloud Spanner to manage polymorphic data objects for merchant onboarding and management, supporting hundreds of thousands of merchants with high availability and global consistency.

• Enterprise Integration:
  Implemented GoAnywhere MFT as the main solution for secure, bank-to-bank transactional and batch file transfers. Developed an enterprise integration platform using Apigee and GCP Pub/Sub to support 26 downstream systems, including fraud management, transaction management, Tsys, and Google Pay.

• Big Data & Deep Learning Enablement:
  Designed the infrastructure to support big data analytics and deep learning, utilizing GCP’s native services such as BigQuery, as well as implied use of AI/ML platforms for real-time analytics and fraud detection.

• Security & Compliance:
  Adopted Terraform, Open Policy Agent (OPA), and Prisma Cloud for infrastructure-as-code, policy enforcement, and security monitoring, ensuring compliance with stringent financial industry standards.
