Needs

FN Herstal aimed to modernise its core business processes by migrating from SAP ECC to a more agile and powerful platform. Key objectives included restructuring its master data management for improved data quality and consistency, and reviewing and updating Bills of Materials (BOMs) and process flows to enhance manufacturing efficiency and visibility.

Solution

We centred the transformation on SAP S/4HANA for a modernised ERP core. We implemented SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to restructure and manage master data centrally, and optimised BOMs and process flows within S/4HANA’s production planning and execution modules. We deployed SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced reporting and real-time insights into manufacturing and financial performance, and used SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for extensions and integrations.

Achievements

    Successful migration from SAP ECC, establishing a real-time ERP system. Core modules included S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO), Sales & Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP).
